Pedaling Hard

This weekend was my first double dosage of cyclocross ever. Saturday was looking to be an epic race with Friday night getting some snow on the ground. But the course was only just a little wet when it came time to race at 2 o'clock. I started from the back row again because I showed up late. This made things a little difficult at first but moved up to 4th pretty quick and was holding good position for a few laps but then was caught by one guy. We swapped laps being on the front and with about 4 laps to go my front tire started to get a slow leak but luckly I had slim in the tube which saved me. I couldn't hold the speeds that I was going with the other guy through the off camber switch backs because my tire wanted to roll of the rim. I was charging the straight aways and ended up hold off 6th place, not by much. It was awesome yet my sholders hurt from carrying my bike 3 times per lap.

Sunday's race was the course backwards but had a few diffrent things going for it. I had been talking to Sam Krieg, and we were talking about getting good starts and the whole shot. It's so important to get a good start. So I worked on my crank position this week and the right gear. I got it right because I was first into the corner and first into the first set of the barriers and a half lap. It was awesome. This was the first time I have seen the front of a cross race. I'm thinking it's not going to be the last time either. So I was running 4th place pretty much the whole race and holding my ground on 5th place. I don't know what exactly happened but going into one of the barriers, I got messed up and got my biker really tangeled up in the barrier. I got passed by 5th and was super frustrated and didn't know how to get my bike untangeled from the barrier because I was so flustered. Then i figured it out and chased down 4th place Brandon A. the Idaho State Road Race Champion. Yeah he schooled me that day and I was thinking he was going to do it again (Brandon is sick too). So I fallowed him for the next 5 laps or so just waiting to attack at any miss hap, but nothing he just to good. So i just waited for the last 100m pass into a sharp left hand turn. and a quick sprint then a 180 degree turn to the finish line. I got him! Yet I felt like a punk by sitting on his wheel and not pulling and knowing that he was sick. But I wanted to be the taller midget out of the two of us. My sholders are killing now, I should have been doing some lifts with my arms but this way I will only be as strong as I need to be no more.

Cross is super fun but it's still just for keeping me fit through the fall months and not losing any fitness. I'm still looking to do something special on the road bike again next year.

next week is a single race again at eagle

I'm going to start training with power again this week because I'm really thinking about making it to collegiate cross. in Kansas City, KS 13, 14 of December but depends on if the school will help send me there.

Choices

Well yesterday was my first ever cyclocross race. I was so nervous for it. I awoke at 1:00 am ready to race. The race started off super fast and hard finding the right line. I was hanging in there and slowly kept on dropping places. My barrier skills are really small to almost nothing. I think I was taking 10 steps and others were taking 4 steps. So I will be working on taking those barriers at speed.

But the real decision is what races should I do. As you all know that I'm going to school working and racing. Cross is out of my own pocket so I can only chose to do some races not all because of my life style of Paycheck to Paycheck. I don't live on top roman noodles, but if I did I could do all the cross races. Which in return, making me better for next season on the road, which is the over all goal.

So choice A
Go off the paleo diet and take up the anorexia diet
Get to do all the cross races but finish poorly
And still be able to Pay the bills.

Choice B
Stay on Paleo Diet
race a few cyclocross races getting decent skills
and still paying the bills

Choice C
Stay on Paleo Diet
Race all cross races and get a lot of fitness
Sleep under the bridge in my car

Choice D
Your Input fire away, let me know what's on your mind

What Have I Been Up To???

This past weekend I made a trip down to the land of Texas!! I got to hang out with Ami for 3 days, and it was amazing. She is a really special girl. I got to see the Texas A&M campus, it's Huge. She also knows a dam fine brew too.It sucked leaving her and sucked coming home knowing that I had to write three papers. Oh well got them done in good fashion. I have a math class that I'm going to drop because my math teacher sucks, at being a teacher and I have been putting bike ridding in front of the math lab. I will still have a full 12 credits yet it will free up a lot of time for focusing on my other classes.

I have been practicing barriers with Sarah Barber and Todd Meier at Cambles back park. It has made a huge difference with my confidence going into race season. Well the first cyclocross race, is this weekend at the Eagle Island Park. I'm feeling a little nervous about it still, being my first ever cross race. I started lifting weights again this week and all my leg muscles are a wreck. I have been stretching a lot on that has been hurting yet I think it also has been good for the recovery. I started a new diet as well this week for my nutrition class. It's the paleolithic diet, which is veggies fruits and lean meats. Yeah that's it no dairy no grains. I'm currently on day three and I am eating all day long because it's hard to pack in all the calories in those three types of food.

Next weekend is the Tamarak is having the Bike and Brews Cyclocross Festival. They say it's one wicked competition with a beer chaser. Yet I will not be drinking, which sucks but I really want to give this diet a real shot and see how my body reacts. I really want to be a lean mean cycling machine, more than I am now.

Long time Coming

So I have been a super slacker on the blog writing but guess what.  Just in time to write some stuff for Tour of Utah and other stuff.

So I took 9 days off the road bike after the Idaho state champion Crit.  I really didn't want to ride bikes.  I got out on the single speed a few times to stretch the legs and watch Tad Crash(keeps your eyes on the trail Tad). I got back on the Road bike for the first time on a Bogus tuesday nighter.  I was a little rusty for sure, the legs were not happy with me at all. I got dropped hard before corrals and really had nothing in the tank.  I trained hard all through the week and went back the fallowing tuesday and a lot better ride.  I pushed the pace to corrals and felt good. I got dropped from a group of 3 and held off the riders behind me but hadeto dig deep and settle into the pain cave.

I am now in SLC and have been riding at elevation trying to get ready for the TOFU.  I was feeling a like a club rider on the saturdays ride.  I was out with a few guys from american radd.  We went out and did the last two climbs on the saturday stage(park city to snowbird).  My legs had nothing on suncrest the decent was screaming fast and a little scary.  I didn't have my speedo on but we must have been going 50 + mph through switch backs.  The legs felt better on little cotton wood.

I went to the out door retailier   show yesterday with Ami and saw Sam Krieg.

Legs are good and hopefully I can pull a good ride this week.

Well I will get back to everyone multiple times this week. Some pics are coming soon as well.

I have to be moved out of my house in a week, and I don't have a place lined up yet. No worries right!! that's 8 days.

Oh yeah I have just a few things left on the calendar WHITE KNOB CHALLENGE a MTB race, and TOUR OF UTAH

That should wrap up my season. I will play on the single speed a lot more and once again I should be on the course of Bogus hill climb, in something new this year.

Swat Kicked

Gate city Grind. The home town support was great!! Legs felt great. Raced like Crap. The crit melted me down which I could not help my team for as long as I needed to help them. We got 3rd overall. GOOD but lame because this race we should of had in the bag. Thanks to Matt Shriver for a Swat Kicked that knocked me out.

Gate City Grind Time

Well it is back again the home town stage race. I have not been home sense January. I am looking forward to some really hard racing and some dry heat getting me one step closer to Cascade. It's been a few months sense we have matched up with the UCA boys. I also have one of my old high school friends getting hitched this weekend.

For me I have been studying the rules of the Wedding Crashers. Rule # 76 no excuses play like a champion. My all time favorite rule.

Da Khorn

That is the Elkhorn Classic I mean!

Stage one was total Degreaser for the team, yet I had a bad day on the bike. Kevin Rowe won the stage in a 3 man break. Calvin 4th Rose 6th Mayfield 7th and Matt same time. I came in 47th, 3 min down.

I rode the tt hard and got my ass kicked but the team showed how good they are on there tt bikes as well.

Crit got canceled because of the rain and the slippery roads. I was happy because the roads where nasty. It was like a ice skating rink compared to Montana.

RR # 2 I was not sure how I was feeling because I only rode to the start line and that was less than a 100 yards. I ended up getting into a move with 4 bobs rider, 1 more than last year. My roll was to work as much as possible and keep Mayfield out of the wind and get him as far as i could. Calvin was an animal pulling up hill 1/2 of the first all of 2 and all of 3. On the 3rd one he popped me but he then sank to the back and pulled me back in. I was a little tired for sure. A chase group caught us with 9 miles to go which had kevin Rowe and the BA from Canada Rat boy from symetrics who ended up winning the stage and winning the over all. Kevin got 2nd Mayfield 3rd and I crawled up the hill in my 39x21/23. It was a long hard day and it was great to see the team ride so well together the past few days.

Shocker

Well last Friday night was the Tour of Eagle Crit. I was really excited to show off my critter skills after the win in Montana! The race started off really fast with Rose driving it from the gun and my legs saying that I didn't get a good enough warm up. Soon after rose got off the front with a small break, but brought back then Rose went again solo. I was then fallowing the attacks going up the road also with the rest of the team. I fallowed a jump from a BoDe rider and looked back to see that we had a pretty big gap and about in the middle between Rose and the group. The BoDe rider told be to pull through and there was no chance in hell I was going to help bring back my own teammate. The next time through the start finish they called a cash prime and I attacked him and bridged to Rose. We started swapping pulls every lap. I was thinking we just got this won this is awesome. Nope instead one of my own teammates was super greedy and bridged to Rose any myself. Super Lame while doing that he fired up the field enough to get close enough to have Remi M. an Elite National Champion from a few years back catch us. Calvin A tried to mark him but only had his 11 tooth in the rear because his rear derailleur cable broke a few min. into the race. So now it's 4 Bob's and a guy who has a national caliber sprint. The group was not going to work with him in it. So the attacks started again from our group. Rose again got off the front again. Rose was a beast. With 7 to go he was brought back again and Calvin went off the front. The Chase from the field started to really get hot when they announced 5 laps to go. 4 laps to go I was fallowing a Teammate and he took a bad line into corner one sliding out and I had no where to go but right into him. Brandon was behind me and he wrecked and totaled his front carbon wheel.

My teammate that first slid out was knocked out cold, I got lucky and landed in some dirt and got a mouth full. I slammed my left ring finger into a curb getting a minor factor. Dr Turner thanks again for the Free x-ray. With the knocked out teammate they called the race. They gave the win to Calvin. Pretty much that race was in the bag and it turned into a muscle flexing contest of Bob's riders and then sent 3 of them to the pavement. SUPER LAME

Bob's riders check the text of this book, under the bicycling for dummies sign!!!!

Sunday was the Idaho State RR Championships

It was a great work out and spent 94 miles off the front with Justin Mayfield and a Bode Rider Brandon Akers. So it was two on one. Perfect.... NOT. I have to say Brandon aka Can't drop me Akers, rode a great race and showed amazing talent on Sunday. It's sucks to lose but at the same time I don't feel that bad when I gave it all I had, and the stronger rider wins. Congrats to Brandon for being the Idaho State Champ.
This weekend was the double shocker

Next time you're not skipping pulls, at least I hope your not.

So all in all friday night and sunday felt like Team Bobs-Bicycles.com received the shocker

I give props to Calvin A. for the title of this blog.

Totally Degreaser

So this past weekend I went to Whitefish MT, to do a little Omnium. We left friday afternoon and pulled in at 1AM. The weather was horrible but the riding was awesome. I had great legs in the crit winning 5 of 7 primes. Tad was super Domestic and pulled from 5 laps to go to 1 trying to keep a gap of 6 sec of a solo rider. At 1 lap to go someone went up the right hard taking down the 6 sec gap almost immediately. I t took me 3/4 of a lap to close it down sat on him for a few seconds and went again in a 4 block sprint. Getting the First W of the Season YEAH

RR i got 6th getting popped on the wall and never closing down the gap. I got 2nd overall

I'm Back Bit(#

Well a lot of things have happened sense I have last post a Blog. So I have taken a break as everyone has seen and people have asked what's wrong. I'm ok everyone

So HOOD. prologue- I started behind Fred Rodriguez who is degreaser and rides for Rock Racing and had an amazing call up compared to mine. I mean I was last years nationals champ. Freddy was a three time US pro national champ I don't even see a difference. I need a bigger call up next time. Well it was over really quick like 2 min and change.

I'm getting pinned up for the Prologue under the bridge of rainy Portland

Then next day was a circuit race on mt. taber and I was feeling like I was going to get dropped in the first 30mins, Then something happened I started feeling good and started moving up! It was a sweet course in Mt. Taber park in Portland and tones of spectators cheering us on.

The next stage took place in Hood river and was the one that sent me home last year. I was a little scared. I felt sandwich bag and was climbing right up there until the last time up the climb when the shit hit the fan. But I was still in it for another day.

The TT was probably the coolest course that you could have a TT. I got 99th and really didn't spend a tone of energy yet the winner did kill me by like 7 min in a 36min tt. He's GOOD and Super Fast.

Road Race # 2. Well fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. SO SHAME ON ME. I let someone take care of my feeds, bad idea I was out of water before the first feed zone, and they didn't have neutral feed either. SUPER LAME later STU That's what we call
Garbage Bag not awesome
END OF HOOD

I got back and was riding my Single Speed MTB bike everyday and loving it. The trails in the Boise foothills are so smooth and a lot of fun to ride. I did it so much and was peddling that thing up some super steep hills and my Achilles tendon was not liking it to much. Taking me off the bike for a solid week

Well I did ride my Cruiser bike down town Friday and Saturday because drinking and driving is not cool. I flipped the 180 with a grab(booze) no riding and drinking lots of alcohol. Well two day of that I let go of that Grab and did another 180. I have been riding all week and the legs feel a lil sluggish but no better way to get the legs ready for some racing, other than racing my bike.

I leave in the tomorrow for Montana, Whitefish for a Crit and a Road Race. Not a goal more of a last min. decision to get the legs ready for the hard weeks of racing a head.

10 feet

Well tonight was just another trip to the grocery store with Justin, to get some food in the house. While pushing the cart past the cereal with J-rose tagging along behind, I notice two guys ahead that are TOGETHER shopping. Tonight there has been a 10 foot radius put on us, while shopping together. It's not easy picking up ladies at the G store when your BFFL is looking more like My BF!!! So 10 foot radius has been thrown into play form now on.

Don't take this message wrong. I got nothing wrong with that but that's not what I'm trying to advertise at the G store.

Emmett Idaho

Well this was my 3rd Emmett Roubaix and I was pretty excited for the gravel section. The race started off pretty mellow not a lot happening went up the little freeze out climb and the whole field was all together. With the field very timid the field seemed to be going no where fast. Then Tad attacked and got a solo flyer then 2 BOMA a Cal Raspberry and Calvin Allen(bob's rider). With Calvin up the road the BOMA team went to the front and started bring it back knowing that Calvin is way to strong to be in the front group. We caught them right before the gravel section. Team Bob's drove it hard through the dirt and had a good gap with 4 Bob's rider and no other teams. Yet Rose was one of them but had a flat tire. So Calvin Matt and myself started driving it back towards the Climb. We increased our gap on the field really quickly. With the largest time gap I heard was 3min 30sec. We went two more laps keeping that gap. The last time through the gravel i was blown I thought it was because the dirt was so torn up but my legs could not push the power need to fly over it. Good thing I was with two teammates because they waited for me and I didn't get dropped tell the final climb(big freeze out). My legs felt super flat didn't feel tired just felt like I was out of fuel. I got 3rd and still finished in front of the main group by 5min. Matt W won the stage and Calvin getting 2nd me 3rd J-Mayfield 4th, J-Rose 5th, and Slack 7th. I had 3 Brownies and a chocolate milk at the finish and then rode home getting over a hundred miles yesterday. Full Results

I forgot sun screen OUCH I'm part lobster part albino. now I got my Laser lines for the rest of the season to go off of.

If you have not Heard The Mens Team has got the Invatation for Tour of Utah!!!

I'm also glad to see Levi L. get 3rd at Tour of Georgia because he thinks he can ride everyone off his wheel without attacking. Learn to attack Levi

only, particular, separate, single, singular, sole, solitary, unique, one

Well walla walla was ok I had great results said nope you suck minus the TT. I got 25 out of 120 not a bad ride.

On a High Note I am now a Cat 1. I am finally Elite and not a 2 anymore. I hope that my riding now steps it up!!!
This is my Stump collection that broke my back!!!

Rumps is the MAN

BadAss aka Eric Rumps

If you have not noticed I'm going to be rocking some dope, actually SUPER DOPE wheel sets this weekend at the Tour of Walla Walla. Eric Rumps is not going this weekend so he is letting me care for his wheels and put some miles on them. I guess this means, Stumps pulling is going to free now. Also he is going to be redoing his driveway with a paver layout. That could be cool yet also a lot of bending over and down on all 4's not a huge fan of that. Well anyways I'm fired up and on my way to bed so it's only one day away instead of two. Wish me luck.

Chicken Dinner RR

The name of the race should of been middle of no where Windy RR. I didn't see any chickens out there. So the race starts out 1/3 of the way up this climb. The race starts off flying because Cody Peterson (pro MTB rider) showed up to see what the roadies of Idaho have been up to over the winter. He said all of his intensity was done in a spin class at the gym over the winter. That's crazy because he is in the best shape of his life, or that's what the results are saying!!! Well he drilled it up the first climb pretty much wrecking shop 2miles into the race. With the cross winds and tail wind a large portion of the group came back together. The second time up the climb, and the first full time, is what did the field in. 5 riders made the lead group Cody(pro MTB), Richard (WC), Slack-bob's rider, Allen-bob's rider, and myself. I was feeling good, really good. Cody started verbally abusing us, trying to figure out why we are so good. I told him we're not. The next time up the Climb Cody got his Water bottle early on the climb and kept the tempo super high. Passing through the start/finish you take a right and decend just for a few seconds and start then climbing the rest of the way to the top. Well Cody accelerated hard up the climb this time making my legs not feel as good as they did the time before yet still hanging on to the lead group. The acceleration did windle it down one rider. Slack was caught out on the climb. Then there was four. coming around to start lap four Cody says I'm done for the day I'm going MTB later. He's going to Sea Otter Classic, this week which is a HUGE race. So then there was three. The next time up the climb I was still feeling pretty good, and a lap went by and we start up the full climb for the time and my legs where fatigued. With about 20 meter to go at the top of the climb my legs could not hold the Richard power anymore. I was gapped!!! I chased for 3/4 of a lap and could not get back on before the crazy strong head wind and had realize that I was going to get 3rd again. I kept it going but I lost 5min to richard who ending up winning the day Calvin getting 2nd, I got 3rd, Slack got 4th from the chase group and Tad BLOWING(chunks after the race) himself up for slack in the last few miles. Not to many other finishers out there on the road other than that. It was a Race that felt like a 120 miles when really it was only 60 something.

Well Tour of Walla Walla is this week and I'm really fired up for this race.

I took this Photo above the Arrowrock Dam, rocking the Road bike on the Dirt roads. AH I really want to get a Cyclo-Cross bike this fall and do some EPIC dirt rides

Prime Rib?!?!

Well on the way to race in SLC at the Hell of the North, the car stopped at Snowville, UT. We gassed up and went to subway to grab a bit for dinner. Subway is having a deal any foot long for 5 dollars. So Matt W. decided he wanted the prime rib subway sandwich because it's $4.71 for the six inch. So Matt asked the Latino sandwich artist for the Prime rib on the foot long. She looked at him like he was stupid. Matt says the one below Spicy Italian, she replies subway melt. Which is 2 below the Spicy Italian, Matt says no right above that. It was like she had a blinder on for the prime rib. Then the old laddie working at the gas station says, I think it's roast-beef. At this point the team is thinking is this for real. After Matt finally just takes a steak sandwich but when he goes to pay they tell him that is $7.41. What a bunch of jokers in that facility. Then I looked it up on Subway's website, they don't have the prime rib anymore so it was an old sign.

Bike racing well the team had a great day down at the hell of the north taking 1,2,and 3rd which is pretty sweet because that's the only places that paid for. The team Road great. I had a real off day I got something in my lungs and really couldn't breath. I was off the back of the group the first time through the dirt and tried to catch back on but i had nothing. Rose spent a lot of time off the front and won the race. Matt and Calvin got 2nd and 3rd looked up in the final sprint.Look at Matt and Rose's helmet hair then Calvin on the far right. He's got Euro Looking Helmet hair!!

Boise Racing
I had a better day today but yet I still didn't feel good at all. The race had a lot of different weather in it. We started off with the sun out shinning on us. Yet the direction the race was going the storm was heading right for us. Slack started the fun for the day. The group came back together. Slack went again with 2 other riders the head wind was picking up and the storm almost to the race. We caught the lead group and turned right and holly crap the wind was full on cross. with about 10 mins of Bob's and Richard Feldman on the the front killing it, that was the only thing left. 5 Bob's Riders and Richard F. we were keeping the tempo up when suddenly I had a flat front time! DAM IT. I was then caught by the chase group which had Eric rumps in it. He waited for me and took a super dig to get be back in the group. Thanks Eric!!! I then notice the lead group decided to go back to the field and help me get back into a lead position. Then Calvin went off the front, game over 2 other tried to get up there but only could stay in no mans land!! With finishing the last lap Calvin had a4 min lead. With about 7 miles to go Matt rolled up next to me and said lets have a go. We went off the front flying into a head wind. Yet I could not do that type of work load with my lungs. Richard F. brought us back only had 5 guys on his wheel,+ matt and myself tagging on. Richard is so strong that he was blowing people up in his draft. After all of the people blowing up it was 4 Bob's rider and Richard. With about 1K to go Matt Flats his read wheel. Rose went to the front and started killing. With Richard sitting on his wheel, then myself and slack on my wheel. Then Richard went with about 3oo meter to go I sat tell about 200 meters. I went Richard started to move his line into the on coming traffic lane. Yet slack went flying up on the right taking 2nd I got 3rd. Thanks Rose, and the team I'm so glad that I have a group like you guys on my side. Tad nice work in the cross wind

Training at Altitude

Well I made it up to 41,000 ft this week. Yeah thats right way Up there. I also got to ride with the Gingers and hang out at Mesa State. I got to travel like a rock star. Sarah Brown a rider for the Bob's women team, is a Lear Jet Pilot. The company she works for has a plane and needed to get it serviced in Grand Junction and I got to go along!!! The hour flight was awesome, arrived in the GJ at 930am on Tuesday. I did a little hanging out on campus then went for a Ride with the Gingers the Mesa Coach and Brent. Ginger C about broke my legs with the tempo he set going up the monument. Yet he played all of his cards on the first 3 switch back, which is not anywhere close to the top. I ended up rolling to the top off front but Ginger K was closing in fast. Descending off the top was awesome. We all regrouped and blew through the gate so we wouldn't have to stop. About 5 mins down the road a park ranger was coming at us with his lights on. Right before he got to us he crossed right in front of us pulling into a neighborhood and the ranger jumped out of his SUV and Yelled at us to come back. Yet MOzingo slowed enough to talk to him before passing him. Ranger said did you come from the monument? Mo replied Nope there is another group is riding into town. The Ranger apologized and said sorry and took off in his SUV. Ha ha later park ranger. We rode down to the green way to stay out of sight for a little while.

Then the gingers Mo and myself did the first Tuesday nighter of the year. There is a little road construction going on so the regular course was not happening. They said the route and I had now clue what the route was so I decided to site tell I knew there was only 1 turn left. With sitting in the draft for the majority of the ride we finally reached K road which lead right into 24 road which was the right turn that I knew to take. I went to the front and rode at 400 plus watts for about a minute and a half to soften up the legs of the guys in the group. Then Conor launched off the front of the Group, perfect. I went back to mid pack while the locals tried to bring conor back. With a guy moving up on the outside of the group I jumped in behind to get a free ride to the front. I then attacked right when we got to the front of the group. I could see the group of riders trying to get on my wheel by the shadow in the road, then there was none and conor was getting closer and closer. I yelled up to conor and gave him a warning that I was coming. After rotating through our gap grew. We looked back and could see a lone rider but could not tell who it was with the sun in our eyes. We turned on to 24 road and could tell that it was Kevin coming up. We sat up and let him get on. With the three of us together the group had no fire power left. We had over 30 sec at the counter and rotated though tell we got back to the park. No sprint finish good thing because the Mav would of beat up on the Bronco.

I never thought I would say it but being back at the dorm, I Miss Living at the Dorms. Always something going on. I miss all my boys back there. Conor got his Cat 2 upgrade. Hopefully he will get some more results and send in his resume to Bob's this fall. Now back in the B-town, I got to get ready to race in SLC on Saturday and back in Boise on Sunday. Should be good!!!

Full result

So with less than 10 miles to go, Tad(aka George) attacked and the field stuck to him like a sticky green buger. I had some mucinex in my pocket which broke up the mucus. I was on the solo rampage. I was hurting big time getting rid of the fresh legs! But Richard Feldman (aka WORLD CHAMPION) went to the front to bring me back! I was then met by another one of my teammates Calvin. We started swapping pulls but WC still chasing us and only 2 people left on his wheel. The WC caught Calvin and me, but Slack was one of the two on the WC wheel. 3 bob's/wc/ and a Cal Giant rider. Slack attacked then brought back then Clavin attacked and was brought back. I was just sitting in saving my legs for the sprint. Slack then took a hard pull at the front so we would not get caught from behind. Then the WC stood up and accelerated but not hard enough. With 200 Meters to go it was my time. I attacked and stuck it in the gutter not allowing any draft in the cross wind. I got 3rd and Calvin got 4th. Slack got 7th. Thanks to Slack good work today, you road well and took a GREAT PULL in that last mile.

Slammer 08

Well slammer is two days away and it's been a few weeks sense the team has done a road race. I can't wait to go out spin circles out in the waist lands of Boise. The slammer course is pretty flat two little rollers, on a rectangle course. It has been 3 years sense I last did the slammer Race. Wow how time flies! I was a cat 3 when i last did it but they had the 3's racing with the 1/2's then!! The weather really has been crap for my spring break. I have not been able to show the legs for a full ride in about 3 weeks now! I will have an awesome knee warmer tan line and a tan face but everything else is WHITE. This is the only time that white is not tight, it's like white can be used as a light. I can only hope that it is windy out on the slammer course for the race. If it is I'm sure I will be spending a lot time with my nose in the wind trying to shatter the field.

Idaho CIty Trip

Today I rode up to Idaho City and back. I got super lucky with the weather. I only got snowed on the way up Lucky peak the rest of the time the weather was good. This was the 1st time I have ever made the trip. The road was good and the there wasn't much traffic, which made it pretty enjoyable ride all together. The river along side the road was pretty awesome too. 4hrs 3min/ avg power 234watts. Legs are feeling that one!!!

A weekend of trouble

That's right we had two rides and both of them we were in places we were not suppose to be. You better watch out for the Stuart boys, nothing but trouble.

GET OFF YOUR BIKE

So yesterday my dad came into town and we did a little epic ride!! We road out hill road to the Veteran's cemetery. We then cruised out passed the Idaho Velodrome and Cycling Park (IVCP). It is really taking shape out there and looking great. Then we went through Eagle because we decided to ride the green way back to Boise. Well with all the Water Problems that Eagle has got going on, they have not yet connected the Greenway to Garden City. Yet I wound understand why they haven't, because the wealthy in Garden City SUCK. They have a great Cyclo Cross course along the River they don't have barriers because of walkers. Yet they have all of these signs reminding you to dismount and then get back on, and if the signs are not enough

You will also get some people holding out there arms on the trail like a barrier. It's great training for cyclo-cross, well it at least mimics dismounting and getting back on the bike. What a stupid controversy, I thought the path was made for Walking, Roller-blading, Running, Skipping, Oh Yeah Cycling TOO!! What a Joke!! I gave my Dad my Skin Suit from last year which was huge on me yet fit's him perfectly!! He gains 4 miles an hour when he wears it, so be careful when he is wearing the skin suit. You are at a disadvantage when he is wearing it! I glad that my dad can go out and ride with me, no better way to spend time!! I love my Dad, he is the man.

TT action

I was no champion on the TT bike yesterday. It was a very windy day, with a major cross winds. I rode a deep dish front 90mm wheel and a disc in the rear(thanks Brandon for lettingme use those wheels). whichh blew me all over the road. It was a challenge within the race to keep the bike up right. The winner was Richard Feldman aka masters World champion TTer. He put a bit of a clinic on yesterday being the first rider off. Bob's took notes and got 6 guys in the top 10. Calvin Allan took the best notes getting the 2nd place spot. We also got 3rd Matt, 4th Mayfield, 6th Rose, 7th ME, and 8th Rumps. Full results This team has a little leverage in the Jason Broome spring series now. Their are 4 road races left in the series that we can open our lead on the competition. For me I'm look really looking forward to Tour of Walla Walla and the Gila. These two stage race I would like to be well rested and flying, aka get some good results.

Well tomorrow is the Jason Broome TT! I have been selected at the last minute to be apart of the Boise Spring series. I guess my form has came around in the past 3 days to get me on the roster!! Well with me not being the Man, on the TT bike and looking for bigger things during this season. I'm going to be putting in some time on the D loop today with Ireland Native, Poky rock star Rob Mcgovern and the Beast Eric Rumps. I'm might even get out later and grab a beer with Rob for a little pre Irish bash!!! Other than my riding plans I have started working at Bob's doing a little Bike selling, building, and of course talking about bike racing! It's a million times better for my back vs the stump removal. I hadn't seen my arms that ripped in a very long time, scary power that's hidden in those little things! Looking forward to Spring Break too, I wont have to make that 3 mile ride to school on the del sol(aka my cruiser). Oh yeah I am making the old MOTObecane into a single speed, not a fixxy because that's not how I peddle. It's going to be a 53x15 only rear break. It's going to have the old Spinergy deep dish wheels on it too, it's going to look super fly!!

Race Weekend 1

Well it started off with a 9hr drive, which wasn't that bad. Then we stayed at Brad's house who wasn't there. In the morning there was a Red Flicker in the house! WTF bird crap everywhere!! well we got it out but almost lost my life. Race one went well Rob Campbell Won!!!I thought J-rose was going to win it but we caught him with 1k to go. Good work ROSE!!! My legs felt like flat, really didn't have a whole lot of spunk to them!! Last week I was really nursing a strained hammy which didn't allow my to do much training

Banana Belt my legs felt a little better still lacking some power!! But the team race like studs making it into almost every move! Rob got 2nd in this sprint which is pretty dam close as you can see! Well there is a TT this weekend which means I have to recable my bike again uhg oh well. OFF to school!!!
