How time flies

Well we are at the end of another year again. I would have to say 2007 was a great year for me! I started the year off in Boise hanging with J-rose and a new years bike ride. I went off to Cali to hang with Jessie Stuart for a week and go out with her good looking friends; ) Then I started training back at Mesa State College( with the Gingers and the locals in Grand Junction) for the Collegiate season which was amazing for me. I got the National Championship in the D2 Omnium(the best feeling in the world was getting called up to the podium knowing if you put your mind to something, you can truly do anything you want to.) I then went back to Poky for a few days and hung out with an old friend the xc runner for a week. Then on the road again I moved to Boise for the summer I ended up liking it so much it here that I decided that I wasn't going to be going back to Mesa State, and starting up at Boise State. Now that I have got 1 semester out of the way at Boise State, I have realized that I will be staying here for a while. Well long enough to get my degree which is going to be, like another 3 years or so. I really don't see the hurry to have to work for the rest of my life. Oh I have to tell you about this amazing feat that I did. I got an (98.2%) on my applied anatomy final with a 111 questions. Thats how it's done, at least in my book. I just got back to Boise last night from the week in Poky hanging with the family!!!

In 08 I will start off with that freezing bike ride at noon. Then I will be going to school and doing a lot of racing!

Goals for 08
Get my cat 1 upgrade
Get some great results
Win a Stage at the Gila
Top 10 at Twilight
Attack at the start of a race and win
Help the Team achieve great results
Get top 5 at Elites Crit nationals
HAVE FUN DOING IT ALONG THE WAY

TGFCB

The roomies and I getting well hydrated at BSU vs U of I game

I don't know how some people do it, study everyday all day long for 16 weeks. I put in a solid 2 weeks of studying and my brain was not use to the amount of info it took in(it hurt). My body also took a huge beating too, the study position is really not the comfortable there needs to be better ergonomic seating at coffee shops. I think I averaged about 5 coffee's a day which had me so wired that some nights I would lay in bed and go over my studies tell 2 and 3 in the morn. I was getting back up a 7 most mornings, to resume my studies. I passed all my class some with A's and B's and one that I had to get a 75% on the final to pass the class. Sounds easy right well my other two test grades in this class would say it was impossible. It shows if you put your mind to something you can do it, 75% is what I got and I'm so happy that I don't have to take that class over.

Riding has been good on the trainer as long as I'm doing a work out. It's the easy rides that kill me it's unforgiving like studying. Jrose and myself did a little rearranging to consolidate the beer pong room to setup the trainers, TV, DVD player and 3 fans.

It also snowed last night in the valley which puts a real NO NO on riding outside today. I might go for a hike tonight just to keep me sane in the outdoors.

Congrats to the 3 gingers (Ginger Twins and Sambo) for supporting the red hair like champs at cyclocross nationals!!!

Lactate Threshold Test

Well I got to say it's been the first time I have been on a trainer this year, and it really wasn't that bad. I have been dreading it for sure, it's over with now. It's really perfect timing because last night it snowed for the first time. So yeah back to the test, I got it. So start you off at 100 watts and ramp you up 30 watts every 3 minutes. So really the test is easy then you are suffering and then it's over for the most part. This picture is not my test, but this is pretty much how it is broken down. The zones are set and now it's all up to me to get fast with a little help from the guys a Physio Therapy. I also want to put a little side note in, those guys are super nice and have really nice setup going on in Eagle, Idaho. I hope to see some massive improvement this year, like 10% or more power and stay a little leaner to this year. I wasn't busy enough this past year and not eating healthy enough so I wasn't shedding the pounds. Wish me luck now and make sure I'm on the bike and not eating any bad foods. I just ask one thing let me have one good beer every once in awhile.

Keeping up

So I had a great weekend on the bike and off. My older sister and dad came into town for a few days and we got to see Dane Cook's live stand up. That dude is so funny.
I got out on Saturday with Rumps and his wife and Sunday with Buster-B.Last night I got to have dinner with Sam and Hunter Allen the man behind cycling peaks coaching group. We did a little talking about cycling but a little more about snowboarding. Hunter also got a Ferrari and took it up to 160mph last week on his way to work. Wow that's rad The weather is also being pretty sweat here in Boise, nice and warm.
