Back To Work

Well with training camp over with, it's back to work! I have been riding my TT bike a little trying to get my neck in shape!! I'm actually getting a fit on the TT bike tomorrow(2/27) by the gents at Physio Therapy Performance Lab! They are going to get me to maximize my power in the aero position with the lowest frontal drag possible. They also did my lactate test last week, to record my improvement over the past few months. The lactate test is great for setting up your zones to train in. The test consists of starting out at 100 watts then they increase the wattage every three minutes tell you can't peddle anymore, its short and sweet. The Physio Therapy Performance lab has been taking care of us like we are Pro's. It has been great being around in Boise this year versus the Colorado collegiate racing. If you want to ride like Team Bob's, have the PTPL help you out. My motivation is at all time high right now on the bike. Keep it going for the new team website, thanks Mayfield!!!

SAUCY legs & Camp

Wow the legs are feeling Saucy!!!
Camp was awesome!!!
Got over 6700 calories burned!!!
200MILES DOWN!!!

Update
After the 1hr photo shoot, in the fog of Boise. We started off on our bikes south of town and got some great riding in with the team. We did have one little mess up, Brandon went down and broke his collar bone. Brandon is fired up for more trainer time thou. It sucks because Brandon is riding really strong right now too!! After the big crew got back to Boise J-rose, C-Alvin and myself went out for a punishing dump loop!!! All the hills had head winds on them which made it a little tougher.

Today after Rose got all of his eggs in one basket we got out the door and did a EHB (Emmit Horseshoe Bend) with the team. This is a ride that I have heard a lot about for the past year and it was awesome!!! The Legs felt super Saucy today!!! On the way back into Boise there is a 10k clim.b The guys who did the extra Dump Loop were taking good hard pulls all the way up the climb. After completing the loop J-Rose, Captain Sprinter Rob and myself did a hard pulling session up to the dam and back. Got a total of 108 miles today and I feel good!! I have been pretty much eating none stop sense I have been home!! Got to reload the body with some energy!!! Pics soon

Camp 08

Well we are having our double secret hidden Mini Camp in Boise this weekend!!! All other teams are soft, they are go to the warm weather for camp!! We are going to have below 50 degree weather and maybe rain both days!! This will make us all feel like we are Belgians. I hear those Belgians don't suck at riding bikes either. Today we are starting off will a little photo shoot then getting out for a 4hr bike ride. Tonight we are going to have a team dinner with the shop and the man Vern'o the inferno(aka the owner of bob's) He is pretty much Santa(but slimmer) to me all year long, bikes, clothes, helmets, glasses and always great coffee at the shop. I want to thank Bob's again for giving me this chance to ride for them again, because without them I don't think I would be able to go to school. I would have to get a full time job to pay for racing, which would also make me slower because I would have less time to train. So if you got some extra cash burning a hole in your pocket I would click on the link to the right Bob's-Bicycles.com to help out them who in the end really help out me!!

Missing Saddle Review

Trackback Thursday’s

Check out this site that I came across the other day. This Blogspot
member hails from Idaho and loves training. At first, the nick names
might intimidate the new reader, but hell, I caught on, and feel
like I know Boise better. http://biker1stu.blogspot.com

39x15

Well today is going to be the spin fest and maybe a little mashing!!! I can't wait!! I was not sure if I was going to race because Yesterday my stomach was flipping me off all day long!! This morning the Stomach and Legs feel good!!! So I hope to see a huge group out there today!!!

Results later?!?!

OH and tour of California starts tomorrow, Does anyone have a cycling.tv account???

Way to start the 08 Season with a 1 2 punch from Bob's!!! I felt really good on the bike today!!
It was a lot harder race than I thought it would be. Rose's cadence was for the entire race was 109 avg. I got off the front for almost a full lap, but the numbers were against me! Rose was the man and didn't do any work and had the Team Georges bring me and there own teammate back!! Rose attacked up the final climb and made it into a group of 4 of us. Rose on the front and me sitting on the back! Nobody wanted to start the Sprint, and Rose took his .2 K(17sec)jump, which started the sprint, I got out of the saddle and started passing peeps, then my legs were spinning so fast that I had to sit down and finish my high cadence sprint in the saddle. I got a win and Justin held on for 2nd. AKA the 1 2 punch. It was good time all around, we got to race and ride from our house.

End of First Lap (me off the front)
Rose in Middle of whats left of the pack!!!

Dump Loops

Well this weekend the weather was dreamy in Boise!!! I got over 10hrs of riding the past two days. I did three dump loops yesterday then went out towards the dam on a solo rampage. The first lap I saw mostly runners and 1 cyclist. Then the next two laps the cyclist came out in full force they were everywhere! Today I got out and started doing dump loops counter clockwise and then Rose met up with on my 3rd one and we road a full lap. We met up with George and James aka Tad and Calvin. The big group rode a lap together and J-rose and Calvin went home. Tad and myself did one more lap together #5 for me on the day. It was great finally getting out on the bike 3 days in a row. Tomorrow a day off

OUTSIDE RIDING

Well today was the first time in a few weeks that the road bike has actually made it out on the road!!! It was great, we got 2:30 and it was great!!! I got out with J-rose and Brandon. It was the 2nd shortest ride of the week, but light dictated that one, I wanted more!!! I have been logging some big rides on the trainer and I'm feeling good now on the bike!!! I plan on doing a limited gear( 39x15) bike race next weekend. I will be getting my spin on 30 miles but plan on riding to race and riding a few more hours after the race too. School, well its school. The Team Bobs-Bicycles.com Camp is coming up in two weeks I can't wait!! We will be doing some testing and some team building and some bike riding too. The real race season is exactly one month away from today, which is good and bad. Bad is it's a full month away but the good is I can work on a few things that I'm lacking right now, so that makes it OK. I have got the TT bike up and running now too I will start riding that at least twice a week now, and try to get my body use to that position!! Hey if you see Spring tell it Boise is looking for it!!!
