How time flies

Well we are at the end of another year again. I would have to say 2007 was a great year for me! I started the year off in Boise hanging with J-rose and a new years bike ride. I went off to Cali to hang with Jessie Stuart for a week and go out with her good looking friends; ) Then I started training back at Mesa State College( with the Gingers and the locals in Grand Junction) for the Collegiate season which was amazing for me. I got the National Championship in the D2 Omnium(the best feeling in the world was getting called up to the podium knowing if you put your mind to something, you can truly do anything you want to.) I then went back to Poky for a few days and hung out with an old friend the xc runner for a week. Then on the road again I moved to Boise for the summer I ended up liking it so much it here that I decided that I wasn't going to be going back to Mesa State, and starting up at Boise State. Now that I have got 1 semester out of the way at Boise State, I have realized that I will be staying here for a while. Well long enough to get my degree which is going to be, like another 3 years or so. I really don't see the hurry to have to work for the rest of my life. Oh I have to tell you about this amazing feat that I did. I got an (98.2%) on my applied anatomy final with a 111 questions. Thats how it's done, at least in my book. I just got back to Boise last night from the week in Poky hanging with the family!!!

In 08 I will start off with that freezing bike ride at noon. Then I will be going to school and doing a lot of racing!

Goals for 08
Get my cat 1 upgrade
Get some great results
Win a Stage at the Gila
Top 10 at Twilight
Attack at the start of a race and win
Help the Team achieve great results
Get top 5 at Elites Crit nationals
HAVE FUN DOING IT ALONG THE WAY

TGFCB

The roomies and I getting well hydrated at BSU vs U of I game

I don't know how some people do it, study everyday all day long for 16 weeks. I put in a solid 2 weeks of studying and my brain was not use to the amount of info it took in(it hurt). My body also took a huge beating too, the study position is really not the comfortable there needs to be better ergonomic seating at coffee shops. I think I averaged about 5 coffee's a day which had me so wired that some nights I would lay in bed and go over my studies tell 2 and 3 in the morn. I was getting back up a 7 most mornings, to resume my studies. I passed all my class some with A's and B's and one that I had to get a 75% on the final to pass the class. Sounds easy right well my other two test grades in this class would say it was impossible. It shows if you put your mind to something you can do it, 75% is what I got and I'm so happy that I don't have to take that class over.

Riding has been good on the trainer as long as I'm doing a work out. It's the easy rides that kill me it's unforgiving like studying. Jrose and myself did a little rearranging to consolidate the beer pong room to setup the trainers, TV, DVD player and 3 fans.

It also snowed last night in the valley which puts a real NO NO on riding outside today. I might go for a hike tonight just to keep me sane in the outdoors.

Congrats to the 3 gingers (Ginger Twins and Sambo) for supporting the red hair like champs at cyclocross nationals!!!

Lactate Threshold Test

Well I got to say it's been the first time I have been on a trainer this year, and it really wasn't that bad. I have been dreading it for sure, it's over with now. It's really perfect timing because last night it snowed for the first time. So yeah back to the test, I got it. So start you off at 100 watts and ramp you up 30 watts every 3 minutes. So really the test is easy then you are suffering and then it's over for the most part. This picture is not my test, but this is pretty much how it is broken down. The zones are set and now it's all up to me to get fast with a little help from the guys a Physio Therapy. I also want to put a little side note in, those guys are super nice and have really nice setup going on in Eagle, Idaho. I hope to see some massive improvement this year, like 10% or more power and stay a little leaner to this year. I wasn't busy enough this past year and not eating healthy enough so I wasn't shedding the pounds. Wish me luck now and make sure I'm on the bike and not eating any bad foods. I just ask one thing let me have one good beer every once in awhile.

Keeping up

So I had a great weekend on the bike and off. My older sister and dad came into town for a few days and we got to see Dane Cook's live stand up. That dude is so funny.
I got out on Saturday with Rumps and his wife and Sunday with Buster-B.Last night I got to have dinner with Sam and Hunter Allen the man behind cycling peaks coaching group. We did a little talking about cycling but a little more about snowboarding. Hunter also got a Ferrari and took it up to 160mph last week on his way to work. Wow that's rad The weather is also being pretty sweat here in Boise, nice and warm.

On the Run

I wish I could say training has been going full on but it's really a hit and miss game right now with school my school schedule sucks. I have been running to get some type of exercise to keep me sane. I can't wait to be done with this semester of school, music still sucks and it's not getting any better. If I had a better teacher it could really be a cool class but he sucks. I will be only taking 7 credits in the spring and really focusing on training and school with still sewing bags for SAM Krieg.

Halloween

So it's the day we celebrate girls wearing victory secrets underwear out in public!! YEAH now that a good holiday. I will not be going out thou, I get out of class at 10 PM and have to get some stuff done for Krieg Climbing. I did get my fare share of fun this past weekend. I have been training a tone and feeling like I'm getting stronger(if that means being soar all the time). I have been busy with school too, I wish I didn't have do all these boring core classes that I'm not interested in at all. I will be a more rounded person because of it thou. This is the Girl Friend Linsey and me out partying it up this past weekend! How ugly is that skin-suit I felt like a super hero, or a super dork either way I look funny for sure!!!

What have you done to help prevent global warming today?!?

I just watched the documentary An Inconvenient Truth.
To watch the trailer of this documentary

The Ale Gore
documentary on how we can help keep the world a livable place for us our children and grandchildren ect... This documentary has opened up my eyes for sure. I cant really say that I have done anything to really help other than I ride my bike to school everyday. We are also recycling at the house now too. We have a few beer cans at the house every weekend!! The question to ask yourself is, what part am I taking in to help save the earth from global warming? I have two old teammates from Mesa that are on a team promoting Start Global Cooling!!! Also check out their teams website!!!

SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING???

Getting close to being that time again!

Well being back in school I have been like a 18 year once again, bring on the beers. Only on the weekends, school work all week long. We have built a beer bong table which is a main attraction. A great investment, people bring beer over every weekend to play!! The only bad thing about it is you can get super duper drunk real quick(me last Friday). The Bob's crew (riders/the worker bee's at bob's/owner Verno the inferno) are all going out for the end of the year blow out. Then to our house for the BEER PONG!!

On a more serious note
With taking a good break away from my bike. It's about that time that I get back on the bike and start thinking about the goals for next year. I really want to rip legs off next season I think I had a great season but could of been a little better if I would not have raced my Dad's mountain bike last year in the collegiate season. I really want to become an explosive racer, for the crits next year. I also want become good friends with my TT bikes and not have a love/hate relationship with it!! I also want to get my Category 1 license nest year, but I will need some help form my team for sure. One of the things I have to do is come out strong but not to strong saving the real firepower for later in the season!!

Hey if your ever in boise and want to check out the new pad/play a game of BEER Pong, Just buy a case of Keystone Light, and it's game on

Beijing shoo-in for Summer Olympics

Well I thought it was a great season on the bike, racing for Mesa State College and Team Bobs-bicycles.com. I had got the National Championship in the Omnium, got a win in the 7th day crit in Eagle, ID. Which has put me in a great position for the Olympics in China. I'm ready to start a new build and get myself prepped for a podium finish. With China having so many different national sports, which are being put into the Olympics. This opened up a new door for me being an Olympian. The first challenge was getting to the Olympic qualifiers.

Olympic trials, I showed up with my stuff ready to throw it down. I brought the best equipment I had, my flatbed united. USADA was there to test me for any performance enhancing drugs, I passed. I thank the Olympic comity for having the trials in such a big place I wasn't sure what to do with so much room. I was the only person to show up from the states. This made me think, am I the only one still able to manufacture anything with the tag on it saying made in the USA. Yet they started the heaters to get it up to the 122 F. I did my thing and put out new USA record for bag making. So I got my USA team oil can, and a bandanna to wear and have for my machine at the games. With other Olympic trials also happening so early, I am ranked 8th in the world as of right now. Slave driver SAM has got me on a great training plan from here to the Olympics I get a 30 to do what ever I want a day. He is so Great to me I love him, what a great guy.

My biggest competitor right now is not a male, no this is the only sport where man vs women. Lung Lee chin is ranked 1 in the world and is the person who has sewn all wrangler jeans in the past 7 years. She started with wrangler at the age of 6 now 13 is looking for real chance to become one of the China's Olympic Medalist.

The India National Team has been training for the past few years setting themselfs in the most ideal training facility

I think this might be the last clean sport in the the Olympic games. I have already had some of Bonds people come to me and ask if I want to take any supplements. I told them that being clean is the only way to go, plus my fingers would look like big hot dogs because those are really the only muscles you use minus the peddle foot. I really don't think this will be one of the prime time event that they show but one can only hope they show the medal ceremony.
I can also bring a team with me to help snip and flip bags for me to do the 4x1(four people doing 1 bag) I think we might be last in this discipline. My team has not been doing it as long as the others.
Wish me and my team luck in the next months in training

1st, are you going to Boise anytime soon

Well if you are and have a Pickup truck, you would save me a lot of scratches to Celica. I have a log bed frame (head and foot board and runners) night stands and my mattress/box spring .

Time for some more change

Well I have decided not to go back to Mesa State College, I will be attending Boise State University!! I like the B-town so much that I figure it would be a good place for me to stay for a while longer! With that now I'm kind of under pressure with time, finding a house to live in and getting ready for school! Job, well that seemed way to easy. I went into the Olive Garden to get an application at 3:30 and the host told me that I could talk to a manger before 4:00. I went out to the car and filled it out and went back in to meet with a manager. 80 min later and a tour of the restaurant and a 185 question, personality test, I got a second interview. Went back and got the job. Now in Pocatello for a few weeks before starting the job. I will be working for the man! I also have to make a trip to GJ to pick up all the stuff that I left behind!! So it's going to be pretty busy right up tell school starts 7/27. I will be ready to settle back into my own space and have my own room. Oh I will be attending my first wedding of my High school friends this week. I'm glad it's not me but happy for him!

Dam critters

Critters keep on cracking nuts on my deck. This is what they get and you better tell your critter friends!!!

Twilight

Wow this race can get a man moving really fast for 90min! With all of my peeps showing up and cheering me on, which extra motivation to go fast. Its' going off the front and chasing things down that you think might go off the front!!! Well the race was flying fast this year, a 30 mph average. This year the race went by so quick compared to last years,108degrees race. The race had a 103 starters the biggest twilight ever! I felt awesome during the race and could move in the pack pretty easily. Corner one was awesome that was the Bob's corner, we had our great cheering squad there. Also on corner one was a hot dog stand on this corner. Man did it smell good, for the few laps that I could smell over the burning brake pads on peoples carbon wheels. Corner two was good too. Someone out side corner two was yelling Go Stu!!! The back straight away was a little dark for my likings, toward the end of the race. With my eyes being dilated and constricted back and forth the second half of the race. Corner three was a little crazed because of the position of the big grooves and wholes in the middle of the road. Corner four, wow it had a lot going on with fans again cheering me on, and the barriers that I hit once with my shoe and bars that was a little scary. The front straight away was loud, really loud. With two laps to go it was amazing it was like hitting a wall of sound. The Cuban missile won the race and sat on the back of the Crit for 75 laps. in last place. He can also be racing and reach over and pick something up off the road, very impressive. I saw this at cascade a few weeks ago and J-rose saw him do this at Twilight. So the two of us practiced this at a park with our water bottles. It's hard but we got it down. So I ended up placing 31st not bad but, I thought I did better. Well that's that. I ready to do some bike riding now. Hope to see you out on the Road!!

I have cracked

So the Indonesia trip is out, not just for me but the whole team. The race got moved back to November. Oh well with twilight pretty much being the end of the season for me!! These are the things I cant stop thinking about now!! I have not stopped drinking the Icee's but soon I can switch to the ICE COLD BEER and beer gardens and cocktail parties and BeerBQ's! It's been a long season 9 months of training for me and I'm pretty drained. I need to get off the training plan and just ride my bike for a little, and enjoy riding my bike. I will take a month totally off the bike this fall and do other things to stay fit(chase the ladies at Mesa). This way I can look at what needs to be done for next season!!! I need to look at a few things and pick some goals for 08. It's pretty early to be thinking about this stuff, but this is good mentally for me! Mt bike season is not going to happen this year. I will be doing nothing but the road from now on!

Cascade

Well it was really hard and it was a good serving of humble pie. I DNFed on stage 5 when my legs had nothing left I mean it hurt just to peddle my bike.

Well to the stuff that more exciting to talk about than sucking on my bike.

SO I saw this truck the other day. What the hell do you think it gets for gas mileage? That's a whole new level of small man syndrome!! McGovern it's all you buddy!
Matt W. got 9th in the elite Nats TT 31sec off the win flying!!! Good job matt
I also went to the fruit stand with J-rose today and loaded up on the goodness. Fresh spinach, Romain, snow peas, raspberries, strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe(the best I have ever had), peaches, cherries. SO GOOD.
Well Twilight is this week!!! The coolest one day race that I go to all year!!!

Do 5 and Get 1Free

This is a good enough reason to stick around Pocatello for an extra few days. A raise will always get me to work more, harder, and longer. So today is the 4th of July and I will be missing all the fun but I will be getting money for 6 for the work of 5!!! Happy 4th to everyone hope you have a few beers for me because I'm holding strong!!! Still got to cut some wait it's not that easy!!!

Gate City Grind

I had a little bit of Alexander Vinokourov

in me during the road race. It always seems like the first part of a Pro 1,2 road race is always attack after attack. Well lucky or unlucky Sam Krieg got in the break with two team mates from Porcupine/Specialized Racing. The biggest team then went to the front and and started to rotate through trying to bring it back. With a few miles of doing that, they pulled off the front looking blown. We got to the tail wind section and the move had put 2min 30sec into the group in a few miles. It was time for that move to start coming back! With help from a few teams we kept them with a 2min gap. Rose start helping out and keeping the pace high. On the 4th lap and killing myself on the front of the field the gap was only had 15 sec, but we did not want that move coming back yet. If it did the attacks would be fireing off again and we wanted that break to be blown when it came back With ending the 4th lap and going into the 5th lap I knew my legs didn't have much left but I knew it wasn't about me today. This was going to be for Matt. I killed myself keeping the pace at 36 to 40 mph no joke. With Rose taking a pull on the front going up the hill then me I waited a few sec for Rose to get tucked into the group then I threw it down. I wanted the pressure to be so hard that no one would want to attack!! I did this and then blew off the back of the main group, but with my move there was a lot of carnage out on the road. The group I was with, actually made it back to the main group and I went right back to the front to keep the pace high. This yo yo effect happened a few more times before someone surged and I got caught out from the main field and was the only one off the back. At this point I cruised in knowing that my job was done. Rose and Matt got 4th and 5th on the day. This race would have been so awesome if the whole squad would have came. The cross winds made it really difficult. Tad it was one of those days that you dreamed about, I know how much you love the cross wind.

Time trail I did some soft pedaling to not waist anything for tomorrows crit. Rose and Matt rode the TT as if there was no tomorrow. Rose got 3rd and Matt got 2nd. I have not seen the GC yet but Team Bobs-bicycles.com is sitting really well. The Cirt is going to be a real hard Bike race with so many people with in just a few seconds. I can't wait I plan on ripping peoples legs off helping my mates out. It almost easier going in knowing that my place at the finish doesn't even matter. I will ride for bobs and for the over all win.

The Crit was an all out fist fight on bikes!! With the race being so close the Logan team had to keep the pressure on the front of race. This tried to stop all the attacks. With the First prime being a 10 sec time bonus the field was in a constant fight for position. Logan's race leader picked up the time bonus moving him up 19 sec over Matt W. The next prime was for 50 dollars, I used my home court advantage because I know where I can attack from on that course. 50 dollars was added to the pool of money. I then chased everything that was a threat down and sat on their wheel. With about 8 laps to go Justin took a flyer and stayed out there for 5 laps. making Logan chase and blowing a lot of there team right out the back door. Matt got 5th in the crit and Justin got 6th in the crit.

Team Bob's got two people on the podium Matt in 2nd and Rose in 3rd great job guys!!

I also got to thank
for all the help they gave Bob's team this week. They gave us some paper because Matt forgot his number so we had to make one via Tri-med Paper(injury report paper)! They had an outside AC that we sat by to stay cool during the crit. They gave us food which was awesome!!! The ice cold rags before and after the race was huge for not overheating and cooling down. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!

Holly Excitement Batman

Today I was informed that Team Bob's-Bicycles.com was invited to the Tour D'Indonesia. My First thought was I my gosh I'm going to Indonesia. Second thought was, were is Indonesia? It's between China and Australia if you didn't know. This all I know of right now, other than I will miss the first two weeks back at school. I hope my teachers will understand this once in a lifetime chance, if not I will tell them to get over it.
So with the Bob's Team only able to choose 4 riders, my chance of going is about this big

but they are saying there is a chance so my ass has got to lose some weight and become a climbing machine once again. The whole team wants to go, so it's going to be real hard choice for our director and team manager. I'm glad I don't have to make the decision. So for the next few months I will not be having any beer so don't offer it to me. Sweets are out for me to, no more three bowls of homemade ice-cream here. Lots of no fat foods and fresh foods. I'm bummed that I'm not a for sure but I'm not going to be the only one who's bummed. I'm also new to the squad and I realize that you got to put in your time for these types of things. There is no complaints from me on how this team is ran, and they have only treated me with best respect and gave me a tone of great opportunities already. I will be dedicated for the next two months to keeping motivation high and putting in the time for getting that spot.

Don't stop believin'Hold on to the feelin

Just a small town girl, livin' in a lonely world She took the midnight train goin' anywhere...Just a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit He took the midnight train goin' anywhere...
A singer in a smoky room, The smell of wine and cheap perfume For a smile they can share the night It goes on and on and on and on...
Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlight people, living just to find emotion Hiding, somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill, Everybody wants a thrill Payin' anything to roll the dice, Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose Some were born to sing the blues Oh, the movie never ends It goes on and on and on and on
Don't stop believin' Hold on to the feelin 'Streetlight people
If you want to Listen

Elkhorn Stage Race.
With stage one being a new road race course, the field was pretty excited to get under way. With the mission being for the worker houses is get in a break and do not work, aka the insurance card. This way my team doesn't have to work in pulling back the break, haha. I made the break and got an ear full for about 70 miles. Sorry everybody my agenda is not the same as yours. With ten miles to go the field caught the break away. I went to the back of the pack and then went right to the and did one pull for the break to bring back a move. Then BOOM, I went right out the back of the field. I rode a slow TT saving myself for the crit. The crit didn't go as well as I wanted put I still got 13. I'm a little disappointed, oh well bike racing. Today's 102 mile was awesome!! My 75 place does not give it justice. The mission was to get one or two guys in the early break, we got three!!! That's how Bob's goes crazy on the field. It was not so easy thou. The first 10 miles of the race was 100 guys single file with attacks almost the hole time. I felt like I was in Belgium in a spring classic. I got lucky. I already had Rose and Brandon up the road so I fallowed a wheel then jumped him when he was blown. The break worked really well together and we had 6 min on the field at one point. After the 3rd big climb team Bob's sat on the back. Waiting for mark to come across we waited. With getting caught right at the bottom of the climb the three Bob's riders took there turns on the front of the select climbers group laying down the tempo. I took my turn on the front and pealed off and spun up the hill in my lowest gear. I also took a pee on the way up. When the job was done all I could think about is Don't stop believin'Hold on to the feelin the song the inspired the team for the whole weekend!!! It's the real reason 3 of us made it into the break!!

Red Bull Feed

Getting ready for Elkhorn. I always do a pre race ride to get my legs all opened up before a suffer fest. Rose and myself where riding back from doing our intervals we say a Red bull vehical

going the other way. I put out my hand towards them begging in my head that would be awesome if I could get some Wings right now. I look back and think I see it coming back towards us nope a dominos car. Dam! Then Rose looks back and says they are coming. Sure enough I got my wings and took a feed right from the Red Bull car. That's what I call getting it on the FLY.

Elkhorn

I have been back in Boise for past few days. I was in Poky hanging out with my Dad and doing a little bag sewing. That's right I can work but I don't like to. I also got to taste some homemade Ice-cream for the first time in a long time. I did the unthinkable I ate three HUGE bowls of it. First was Amazing second was just as good third was not so good to my stomach. I picked J-rose up from the airport last night(home boy had a funky smell when he got into the car) Well the team is heading to Baker city Oregon tomorrow. I'm pretty excited for this race it's my 2nd favorite bike race. Boise twilight #1!!! Anyways Mark S. is going to be the guy racing for the big gc win. The team is looking super solid and going to punish the competition.

Blake and myself went down to alive at 5 in down town Boise last night and there must been a few thousand people out drinking. Dam sometimes life would be much easier not being a bike racer, and start being a Professional hotty chaser. It would be nice to get all tipsy during the week, but in the back of my mind I'm thinking about all the hills and races I got coming up in the next 6 weeks. I will save all those beers for the MT. bike season, BLA. I'm not looking forward to wrecking a lot and not enjoying riding my bike. Tell then I will ride my bike and do nothing besides sit on the couch and wait for the tour to start.

Maybe the Kit for 07-08

What do you think? It's a million times better than the purple.
If I could convert the time that I spent on the Wii today it would of been a rocking cycling work out. I put my body into some big hurt. My estimated norm power is more of a real sign of how it really went down. The Tss is dead on, maybe. I think I really worked on my bowling arm and my hitting arm for baseball. In the last hour is really when it started getting hot! I took off the shirt and grabbed the numb-chuck and did a little boxing. The Tss would of been a lot higher but you know I'm almost pro on the Wii boxing, which throws a real loop into my threshold setting, so the Tss is a little low!!!Maybe

Banana Pancakes

When the pros go to the front it's over! Getting drooped on the first climb sucks but I gave it my all and couldn't get back. I chased on the decent and through the caravan(which is a little sketchy). I and about 60 other didn't have what it took to get there. Mark Santa road really well he got a 10th on stage 3. Matt and Mayfield also had great day on the bike. Rose and me, NOT SO MUCH!!!

Well lets bring on the Local racing that way I can boost myself confidence. Cycling is such a crazy roller coaster! With National Championships one week, and getting the time cut another weekend. All I can say is hopefully that's the bottom of that roller and now we can start climbing back up for another high.

Rose and myself are making some banana pancakes to get the day started, for what I don't know because our bikes are in Oregon. We could spend a day a playing the Wii, or cleaning the house a little, or even talk about that time we got smoked at Mt. Hood. Today we have our other roommate moving in, Blake! He is going to be the perfect wing man for the summer, he already has a girlfriend so he can wheel and deal for us.

Hood

Wow it's day two and I'm already way tired. The first ITT was really rough for me. I haven't felt that crapy all season. Today J-rose got the KOM jersey pretty dam cool. I was the water boy today and got my first real pro tour hand up aka the push up the road. It was awesome!!! I got dropped the last time up the climb when the teams all started to attack and stu went out the back. I was a little blown. Mark was a star today and got 6th on the stage. I came coasting in a few min after the main pack. WOW it's been rougth and only going to get worse. Oh by the way the stage was a 110 miles.

Ryan Mcknab was in a wreck on sunday in a Road race. He is in stable condition and will be held in an induced coma for four days (until Thursday) to prevent brain swelling

Garden creek gap didn't goes as well for me. I didn't have the best legs and my new shoes put hot spot on my feet. I mean it felt like fire burning my feet. I still got in a 100 miles of riding in of quality racing, 3374 calories burned. Not bad. I leave Tuesday morning for hood river, Oregon. The boys from Rio Grande are coming and staying with us tonight in the Boise house. After Hood River Classic there will be a lot of booze consumed from the Rio boys, rose and myself!

Life back in the POC

Well I took my last final and got out of GJ as if I was about to get the plague. I started the drinking season Thursday night to celebrate a little. I went riding with Rob and Sam Friday morning up Scout. Drinking Season over!!! Wow I felt like death. I went out on the TT bike for a few hrs yesterday, and felt million time better than Friday. Today I'm going to get a late start on the bike, because one of my best friends is leaving today back to Minnesota. So I'm going to hang out with her until she has to go, then go for a good ride.

I also got to say thanks to Sam and John S. they gave me a new pair of riding shoes. PIMP!!
Oh Sam has got a new espresso maker that is absolutely amazing(14shots already) I will be getting one hopefully in the fall. Pocatello crit is on Tuesday I'm hoping to have a good ride because I know it's going to be hard to get away from the pack of riders. Oh I also will be doing some work again for Sam. I betting on 4 bags I totally screw up, just my guess.
Off to Boise next weekend.

Life as a National Champion

Holly shit!!! That's about all I can say for now. I want to say thanks for my parents supporting me and dishing out the cash when I needed it. I want to thank my coach for taking me to the next step. I want to thank Sam Krieg for being such a supportive teammate/friend and DICK boss J/K. I also want to thank Rob McGovern and Craig Kidd, I wanted to be you guys so bad when I was little, because you guys dominated. One day Rob told me that I could be better than that. I would never of believed it then, but thanks for pushing me. Thanks for making me suffer like a PIG. I have to pay my respects to my Grandpa Stuart, I miss him a tone and don't really know if I would be here with out him. For everyone who has contacted me in the past two days, thanks so much for the calls. I still cant believe how awesome it is to get that jersey. WOW!!! I'm the first person to get a National Championship jersey on the road at Mesa and the 3rd person to get one. Just writing this makes me look over at the jersey that I got, it's hung on a hanger and I Think holly crap, I won a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!
That last Pic is me hugging Anne Spalding the Conference Director and Mesa's faculty adviser, she almost took me to every race. Thanks Anne

Nationals

Well after the 15 hour trip we have made it to the big show! I'm so ready for this, I can't wait to race my bike. It has been 10 months in the making. When I decided to go back to school this is why, and to get a degree. I realize anything can happen because it's bike racing, but my plan is to rip some legs off. I'm here to Win the jersey and maybe even two of them. I feel really strong after taking some days off after the Gila. I also brought my best suit, the stash and mullet for the big show. Tomorrow is the TTT, then Saturday is the Road race and then Sunday is the crit. Tuesday Math Final:(

RR

6th, not to bad. I hope the crit goes a little better. I would really like one of those jersey's! I was one place off the podium and 1.8 sec from from the win. Mesa is in 4th in the overall. I will also be going for the overall best rider hopefully I can get my sprint legs on tomorrow. Zero hours studied for math final.

Crit

With the over all best rider in the back of my mind, I was really thinking about winning that crit. My mesa team Road the best they have all year in a crit. I got in a move with a guy from Colorado College. We had 20 sec on the field and that's all we could get. During the Break I was picking up some Prime points which didn't mean much at the time. With a 6 to go a guy from Dartmouth bridged across. This was great for the legs. I started feeling really good. With 1 1/4 laps left we got caught. I did everything I had in my body to hold position for the next lap. 12th in the crit.

Overall O

Final Division II Men’s Omnium
1. Chris Stuart (Mesa State) 183
2. Eric Schlidge (Dartmouth College) 181
3. Peter Horn (Vassar College) 180
4. Todd Nordblom (Colorado College) 173
5. Toby Marzot (Dartmouth College) 166

I love Prime Points!!!!

Gila Done and Nationals here I come

Well if you didn't hear I got 2nd in the crit. I love those things. I wanted a better GC spot but knew I would have to risk it. I took the chance and fell a little short like 15 miles short. My oil light went on, and I lost the drive and the suffer. I called it early. I am heading to Kansas tomorrow to rip some legs off. Right now I'm in between classes and this is my only day of class this week and for the rest of the year. I have finals next week. That sucks but oh well. I will have to do some studying while resting for once. The gila great race hopefully will be back next year. Team Bobs-bicycles.com did some real ass kicking down there. We made it in moves every day the only team to do that.

Day 3 GIla

Well the first day at the Gila sucked for me TT like a little girl. I got 40th

Day 2 in a all day break and getting caught with about 1K to go. Wow did I blow up I mean I was barely turning the peddles. I was so dehydrated that I got an IV after the race, and drank 4 power aids. 10th on the day!!

Day 3 I sat in the field all day and Rose went up the road to later win the stage. The decent on the stage was crazy. There was a crash 4 guys in front of me and some how missed it. I also over shot one of the switch backs and had one foot out and braking as much as I could. I got 10th again on the day. I feel good and I'm looking forward to the Crit tomorrow. Don't know the GC as of now. Check the official tour of Gila web site!!!

MSC home race

The home race went really well I got a third in the road race and a fourth in the crit. I felt really good both days. Now I'm at the GILA. The team picked me up in Moab yesterday. We are sitting around in a coffee shop now, waiting to ride the TT course this afternoon. I feel like my riding has really came together in the last few weeks. I'm really excited to be hear but the plan is to gain fitness for Nationals in Kansas next week. I would like to get a high GC or a stage win here. I will be updating daily, or as much as i can. The house that we are staying at does not have Internet so it might be hit and miss on the updates. Check the Gila website for updates.

Durango Road Season

Well the Team TT was a huge F up. It was my fault my hip-flexer burned up on me. I could put out no power. I could barely stay on the wheels of Mitch H. and NK.

With the weather looking pretty crappy I thought the crit was going to be a no go. The crit was on and one of the best course ever. The road were super smooth and fast and the alley climb was so cool. It really hurt as you can see on my face but we would hit that thing so hard. I ended up 8th with is pretty lucky considering that I almost went down in the last corner. A FLC guy hit my brake lever with his left shoulder applying my rear brake. My brake tore his jersey and my brake released letting my bike stop sliding. close one.

RR well lets just say I had another flat again. I did chase on for 12 miles and caught the chase group. Not bad considering I thought my day was over when I flatted. A CU rider gave me his front wheel. He wrecked on the first lap and wasn't in it. I also dropped the chase group on the last lap with three miles to go. I felt great but didn't have the right kind of luck. I ended up 17th.
Oh Yeah that's me opening up a gap off the front. Trying to hit the hill first.

Host Housing

Well Ginger C. has decided to share his Forts(aka play areas) for any incoming racers for the Mad cow Classic.
Fort 1 right in the Ginger's room. that's right sharing space with flame of the Mesa cycling team. It's a deluxe area right under the Gingers bed(twin size). Ginger C. spends hrs. playing with balls and other toys, so it should fantastic sleeping arrangements.

Fort 2 located in my pod. It's a little smaller but we had to setup a play area for him so he wouldn't break anything. This is located under our stadium seating in our living room. It has easy access to an overflowing garbage can. Phone-books are readily available if you need to order in food. This is also great if you don't want anyone to know that your there. You just pull the chair back and you're in your own little retreat.

Please Call Ginger C. to get a fort for the weekend. 303 915 3813
